The TaxPayers’ Alliance has launched their Stamp Out Stamp Duty campaign in a bid to ease the burden created by the tax in the 2014 Budget.
A new campaign calling for cuts to Stamp Duty has recently been launched by the Tax Payers’ Alliance, the non-partisan pressure group. Their work helped secure the first cut in Beer Duty since 1959 at this year’s Budget and they are now looking to harness their influence and force the Chancellor to reduce the burden imposed by Stamp Duty at the 2014 Budget. You can support their efforts in several ways:
•By visiting – and encouraging customers to visit – the campaign website, www.StampOutStampDuty.org, where simply entering your postcode will generate an email to be sent to your local MP highlighting your concern about the issue. The more people who do this, the greater the pressure that the politicians will feel.
•By displaying the “Stamp Out Stamp Duty” poster which the Tax Payers’ Alliance has produced so that customers are aware of exactly how Stamp Duty will affect them and will hopefully then be encouraged to visit the website themselves.
